cool or what?!
Well in the beginning, when I saw those high elements, I told myself I can never make it through. Even before I stepped in to that area, I was already sweating hard. I don’t know if it’s just due to hungriness or nervousness. I was freaking out when I was standing a few meters away from those obstacles. I was like,’ OMG!! That is so high. I don’t want to do!” I kept saying that I don’t want to do it in my heart. But then I didn’t want to be odd one out. Since everyone seemed to look or claim that they are excited, so I just act as if it’s normal.
So as soon as I entered the place, we report to the staff there. The in-charge was somehow friendly and sporty, she kept saying that there’s nothing to be afraid of up there and try not to back out because you are only wasting your time there. So quickly, we put our bags in a safety room and got a little briefing from the in-charge. Everyone was excited, I think lah. All their faces were ‘smiling’. We were given instructions from wearing our harness to wearing helmets. My class had a funny moment when it was time to wear harness, we all were forcing the straps to go the right positions. Some claimed the safety thing was big or small for them. All the guys kept saying that it is an obscene moment and telling us not to look at them. Funny luh. By the way, the helmets stink badly!! Eeeeee. The previous wearers have bad hair. It was gross.
So when everything was checked and ready to go, we walked up the stairs and slowly walked towards our area where we are going to do our stunts. It was freaky!!! I wanted to fall down anytime. Johnson was very cute luh; he kept saying he didn’t want to do it at all. And everywhere he walked, he has to hold on to something. Then there was Ryan, he kept saying he was never going to do it ever in his life. His balls were shrinking and were going to drop off anytime. Cute luh both of them.
So soon, it was time to start off the thing. Pravina went first, damn she is so brave!! Power luh girl! So it was scary looking at her, she was shaking half way through the box-bridge obstacle. But she made it to the second and got stuck when she reached the middle part. It’s like we have to stretch your legs wide open and reached to the other part. Fuhh!!! Then there was the see-saw log. It goes up and down. Next to go was Shamira and the third to go was ME!! I wanted to get over and done with the thing so I volunteer myself which was cool. Haha. Off I went to start the challenge, the in-charge kept shouting to everyone,” Don’t hold on to the rope!!! Let it go! Balance yourself!” but no one listen because it’s very high and scary. My heart beating very fast!! I can’t control myself. Don’t look down!! I kept walking and moving faster until I reached the end. Fuyoh!!! I made it! Actually, when I think back it was not scary, just very fun!!! Cool or what..? but still, I made it!! I’m proud of myself.
After I just stayed on and cheered others, while sharing my experience to those who haven’t try yet. Some people screamed but some don’t. They are brave people. Calvin even ran down the box-bridge. Bloody brave luh…! Me and those who have done it successfully cheered the rest on, to give them motivation. Haha! It was exciting to see my classmates in a very scary moment.
Well to me, if I can apply anything that I did today in my life is that be confident and not scare of any obstacles that are standing in my way. I have to face it now because later on in future life I will still have to face it anytime else. So what I did today was very interesting because it was kind of new to me…
what we could have been, 3:56 PM.
